Q: Does the registration fee include accommodations?
No
INDEPENDENT DELEGATIONS
Q: How do independent delegations register?
Independent delegations follow the same registration link but must indicate that they are registering independently rather than through a school.
Q: Is the process different for independent delegations?
The form is the same, but independent delegations should ensure:
They clearly list their delegation name
They provide advisor information (see Advisor Requirements section below)
Q: Can gap year students participate?
Yes
ADVISOR REQUIREMENTS
Q: What is an advisor?
An advisor is the mentor responsible for transforming the student into a diplomat, ensuring that the learning experience goes far beyond the committee sessions.
Q: How many advisors are required?
No, but it is important that one of your legal guardians is registered for record-keeping purposes.
Q: Who qualifies to be an advisor?
An advisor should be:
An adult responsible for supervising the delegation
18 years old or older
A teacher, guardian, school administrator, or approved responsible adult affiliated with the delegation
Q: Do independent delegations also need an advisor?
Yes. All delegations, including independent delegations, are required to have an advisor.
Q: Do advisors need to be on site during conference weekend?
No, they do not have to be physically present. Each delegation must, however, provide emergency contact information.
FINANCIAL AID
Q: Is financial aid available for delegates?
Our financial aid policy will be based on sponsorships, and we will hold a scholarship competition to enable two low income students to attend the conference. They will be waived of the fee.
OTHER
Q: Is it mandatory to stay at the Royal Tulip?
No, but the conference provides several accommodation suggestions if needed.
Q: When will the detailed schedule be released?
